I think I have yet to hear a Phoria track I haven’t loved. “Efforttobreathe” is certainly no exception. Starting off with a slow methodical beat, the track is a quiet, melancholy triumph . At first, with only hushed hymns the song takes on an ethereal quality. Subtly the power of the bass ebbs in, strengthening and adding substance, but not altering the reflective and patient quality of the track.
Phoria has carved out quite a following for itself and with good reason. With the release of their Display EP this week already making waves, this 5 piece electro-group from England has already developed a niche for itself with raw beats, soft vocals and celestial-like tranquility.
