Milo & Otis have to be one of my favorite emerging artists of this year. Their upbeat 100 BPM twerk sound has turned ordinary dancefloors to jungles of weird, with wonky toplines and big basslines providing the soundtrack. Whether they put forward an original mix like the massive "Pigeons" or take an "unoriginal" sample of Kanye & Gesaffelstein on "Send It Up", the duo has carved a niche that's landed them support from the likes of DJ Snake, Kill The Noise, and Dillon Francis.
Their latest revealing shows a collaboration that would have many fans chomping at the bit just by the title. Fresh off a cheeky Reddit AMA, A-Trak lends his production skills on "Out The Speakers", but it's not the first time the two acts have been on the same credits line. Both were featured as part of a flurry of producers on the Duck Sauce "NRG" remix. On the Fool's Gold preview set for a May 20th, a booming kick drum, crooked synth line and a touch of hip-hop vocal chops from Rich Kidz fill out another quality track. With A-Trak set to take Low Pros on the road while Milo & Otis support the Skrillex Mothership Tour, you can be sure this one will set off crowds throughout the summer.
