New music from Joey Bada$$ as Pro Era get set for 'Secc$ Tape Pt. II'

Time for a double whammy from the Pro Era camp with two big tracks from the fast rising crew, one is a collective project and the other comes straight from Brooklyn favourite Joey Bada$$. First up is “Sol Luna”, which features Joey, Dyemond Lewis and A La $ole. The smoky track is an instant head bop inducing example of how raw rap music can manufacture an infectiously cool atmosphere, while the flows of all involved prompt many a rewind.  “Sol Luna” originally dropped as a festive taster to hype Pro Era’s Secc$ Tape Pt. II last year, but as the project is set for release later this week, it’s well worth revisiting this tasty cut of raw hip hop to prepare your pallet.

Next is the brand new joint from Joey Bada$$, who continues to showcase skills which make his young age seem increasingly unbelievable. “Age aint nothing but a digit” to Joey though, as throughout “Pantie Raid Pt. II” you hear him serenade a girl beyond his years in classically unorthodox fashion as he manages to make the phrase “expand your ocular” sound like a uniform love-rap term. He’s described the track as a “lil sumchin for the ladies” but smart guys will use their incentive to add this fresh Bruce Leekix produced take on sexy hip hop to their Valentine’s night playlist immediately.

The vibes radiating from Pro Era right now are consistently strong and innovative while ensuring they carve out their own Swank Ciddy niche in music today as they look ahead to February 14th for the release of Secc$ Tape Pt. II.
