Here at EARMILK we are thankful for many things. From good music to good vibes to good conversation, there is so much we have to be thankful for each and every day of our lives. But in the back of our minds, there is something we are always thankful for: you the readers, who trust us to show you the music we love and live for, enough for us to dedicate time to sharing it with you. From big names to small, music is a universal entity, and theres’s nothing like the holidays to show us why we love music so much.

Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, Santa is coming early this Christmas. For the next twelve days, EARMILK is filling your stocking with some gnarly winter mixes to keep you warm and cozy. We’ve hand selected some of our favorite artists to cover 12 different genres. 12 genres, 12 days, 12 dope mixes. Ho, Ho, Hell yeah! Pour some egg nog and enjoy the tunes, you filthy animals.

For the first day of Christmas, Earmilk gave to thee, an indie mix from Breton in the UK. Breton takes us through some of the best vibes and tunes of the indie underground. From Indie Heavyweights like LCD Soundsystem and more deep cuts like Is Tropical.

This holiday mix is best served with a Hot Toddie. Take two shots of warm whisky, honey, lemon, a cinammon stick, hot water, and pour into a mug with a bag of chai tea. Drink up and vibe out. The Brenton folks sat down with Santa for a little fireside chat, enjoy!

Santa: Have you been naughty or nice this year?
Breton: Good question! I'm obviously going to have to say nice, though there's probably a few occasions when I've had to be naughty. The band has had such a great year, with some very memorable moments. I'd like to think that's because we've been good…
S: What rooms would you add to your gingerbread house?
B: Biscuit basement.
S: Who do you want to be caught under the mistletoe with?
B: Natalie Portman.
S: Screw, Marry, Kill: Rudolph, Vixen, Dasher?
B: Dasher.
S: What's on your holiday list?
B: Taking some time to see my family and friends.
S: Favorite Holiday jam?
B: Raspberry.
S: Favorite Holiday Tradition?
B: Wearing Long Johns.
S: What are you grateful for in 2013?
B: The time we spent in Berlin making the record. It was an incredible experience that we'll never forget. Also, getting the opportunity to play shows in Australia and doing this interview.
S: What do you look forward to in 2014?
B: Playing out the new record, going back to America, and watching the World Cup.
S: Are you making any New Year's resolutions?
B: Yeah, I think it's worthwhile. Even if it doesn't last the year, it's still good to set yourself goals.
S: Where will you be when the clock strikes midnight?
B: DJing on a boat on the river Seine. Can't wait.
