When you record an album, there are bound to be tracks that don't make the final cut. These songs can often find themselves as bonus tracks on the deluxe versions of the album. This is exactly what happened to this gem from LA native Krondon, who's released the final version of his track "Breathe", which will be a bonus track on his forthcoming album Everything's Nothing.
Krondon has called upon Harlem heavyweight Smoke DZA, who drops a dope verse in between two fire verses from Krondon himself. Both emcees bring their respective qualities to the plate on "Breathe", as Krondon's typically laid back flow sits nicely next to DZA's style and finesse. The wordplay on this track is really something great, with references to Van Halen, Austin Rivers and even a well-known street in LA. "Breathe" was produced by Cy Fyre, who created a heavy smoked out beat, with loud kicks and crisp snares that really punch through the mix.
Krondon recently appeared on fellow LA native Dom Kennedy's album Get Home Safely on the track "Honey Buns", and is set to reissue his February release Everything's Nothing on November 19th, and you can pre-order the album on iTunes now.
