South London based producer/dj Kiwi has perfected his moody and hypnotic style since he popped on to the scene, pulling influence from various genres including disco, funk, techno, and house. For his “Taoma” edit, Kiwi starts with a jazz base. The track opens with a simple beat and finger snaps, then continues to build a glistening soundscape for a full launch around the 3-minute mark. As the groove chugs along, electric keys, conga drums, and indulgent saxophone solos complete Kiwi’s bossa nova bounce. It might not sound like your typical recipe for dancing, but this refreshing and unique edit will have your feet shuffling along.
