One of the "Great White North's" top music festivals is just around the corner and we couldn't be more excited.  Osheaga Festival,  held on a small island in the St Lawrence river right across from it's bigger brother the island of Montreal, is one of the most diverse and hottest in Canada.  With five stages, incredible scenery, and amazing afterparties scattered across the most European city in North America, it's worth a visit this August 2 through 4 (if you can manage to find some tickets for the sold-out event).  To get you all set we've got our 10 must see acts:

Alt-j
In my mind, English indie rockers Alt-J had the album of the year in 2012.  But don't just take my word for it, their debut "An Awesome Wave"  won the 2012 British Mercury Prize and best album at The Ivor Awards.  Check them out on friday and see if their live show does the album justice.

Phoenix
Uber cool french rockers Phoenix will be joining Alt-J on friday.  Festival vets at this point, their live show is a thing of legend — If you haven't caught it yet then this is definitely one performance you don't want to miss.

Frank Ocean
We're a little worried about Frank Ocean missing out due to recent vocal cord trouble but if he pulls through then this is a must see.  Known for his powerful, emotional stage presence Mr. Ocean is the consummate performer.

Soul Clap
No one does summer grooves better than Soul Clap, and what better place to catch those vibes than a beautiful island set in the middle of a river during sunny festival season?

The Cure
After 30 years of non-stop touring and performing these guys can still rock a stage better than anyone.  And it's The Cure… Need we say more?

The Lumineers
At the fore-front of the roots rock revival The Lumineers took the world by storm this year.  Their foot-stomping blend of rustic folk-rock will have you whoopin' and a hollerin' the night away.

Kendrick Lamar
The Compton rapper turned hip-hop on it's head this year.  MTV crowned Lamar the No. 1 "Hottest MC in Game" on their well known annual list and his major label debut studio album "good kid, m.A.A.d city," was released last year to widespread critical acclaim and quickly certified double platinum.  Don't kill your vibe… See Kendrick.

Azari & III:
Canada's most unique electronic outfit Azari & III have had a banner year after their first album dropped on Montreal's own Turbo Recordings.  Expect a fierce performance replete with dark summery vibes, vogueing and tons of swagger.

Jessie Ware:
Electronic music's favourite feature songstress and remix muse, Jessie Ware will be providing a touch of the ethereal at this year's Osheaga. Take a break from the rockers and hip-hoppers and see this 21st century diva bring her forward thinking pop-sound to life.

Disclosure:
Last but not least is Disclosure.  The english brothers had a banner year.  They have been consistently churning out hit after hit and their debut album Settle was released on 3 June 2013 through PMR.  Their remix  of the above mentioned Jessie Ware's, "Running," back in 2012 was their first real commercial success, charting in both the Netherlands and Belgium as well as becoming a fixture of the 2012 Festival Circuit and featuring on the annual edition of Annie Mac presents.  They followed that up with a string of massive singles including "Latch" which peaked at number 11 in the UK Singles  Chart and two consecutive top 10 hit singles in "White Noise" (#32) and You & Me (#10).   Known for amazing live performances (excluding that one Capital FM performance) Disclosure is at the bottom of our list chronologically but at the top of it in reality.
