Aasim – "Queens Shit" (Feat. Nas)

Like all things in life, you gotta hustle and pay your dues in one form or another to go where you wanna go; Aasim is a notable example of this ideal. The guy's been grinding from a young age, working with acts such as Dead Prez and P. Diddy and even released his debut album, Money Pit,  back in 2005. Though the album was slept on, he's continued to develop his skills as a song writer and has released a steady flow of mixtapes. With "Queens Shit", Aasim brings along Nas, a man who needs no introduction. The track is devoid of hooks and uses an old school boom-bat beat, putting the focus on the lyrical abilities of both rappers as they showcase the New York City borough. Walking On the Stars, Assim's next mixtape, will be out in a few weeks and if this is just a taste of what we'll hear, I'll be counting down the days until the tape is available.
