In anticipation of Ayah Marar’s next release “Go Hard” the UK Bass queen ran a remix competition for the single with the goal of encouraging new music creation, sourcing fresh talent and promoting the UK's underground scene. What better way to scout budding talent than with friendly remix competition? Marar thought the competition would be the best way to include emerging producers to build solidarity among musicians and send across one central message: we are all in this together. After throngs of impressive producers responded, Marar ultimately decided to go with a dance floor remix by Ellington which vibes a bit more darkly than the original yet will effortlessly hook a crowd to move and groove.

Marar’s “Go Hard” will be the fifth release off her debut album The Real on her own imprint Hussle Girl. Lauded with praise from Q Magazine, Dazed Digital, Vibe, Mixmag, TimeOut and The Sun it is no wonder these publications have deemed her time and time again the “queen of bass.” A self-proclaimed raver at heart and club queen, Marar pays homage to her dance floor roots and its unabashed, bold nature oozes with the Jordan girl's infectious attitude. The track features Illaman, a close friend and fellow tour companion, who adds his own dose of flavor to the beat.

Ms. Marar has been a busy little bee over the past few months, after she was awarded Best Female at The National Drum & Bass Awards she started her own show on BBC Radio 1xtra, toured Europe, and recently signed a deal with US record label Radikal Records. Still there is no slowing down for this multi-talented artist who manages finds time to run her own label.

With festival season just around the corner you can catch Marar playing at Springtime Festival (Belgium), Reading (UK), Sea Sessions Surf Music Festival (Ireland), Innovation In The Sun (Spain), Sumol Summer Festival (Portugal), and Secret Garden Party (UK), with  more to be announced soon. Stay tuned for more to come from the lovely lady and in the meantime, purchase The Real here.
