Justin Taylor Phillips, better known as Crywolf, is the latest signee to Le Castle Vania's label, Always Never, and the partnership comes just in time for his Ghosts EP release Crywolf is an electronic music producer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist from Denver, Colorado. He’s been in the game for only a year and a half, but has been making waves with his melodic, heavy-hitting electro and dubstep remixes and has seen support from heavy hitters like Skrillex, 12th Planet, Adventure Club, Krewella and more.

His debut EP, Ghosts, was just released yesterday and it is filled with depth and emotion. Taylor states, “It is a very difficult and scary thing to take music that exposes deep parts of yourself and put it out into the world for everyone to see. These tracks on the EP have come from the darkest and most beautiful periods of my life so far… I can’t begin to explain how excited I am to present to you, Ghosts EP.”' The first track, “The Moon is Falling Down” utilizes chopped up female vocals to encapsulate you and prepare you for a totally different change up when he hits you with some serious dubstep. With his track “Walls” the vocals show us that brooding aspect of his music. Like a storybook, he takes us on a dark journey throughout the album.

My personal favorite, “The Home We Made Part II” over all demonstrates his talent. Between the breathtaking snares and emotionally charged vocals it is surefire winner. “Swimming in the Flood” differs from the rest and is somewhat of a experimental track. Once again killing it with the vocal work the track is smooth and balances out the album nicely. Last up, the self titled track “Ghosts.” A super acoustic and chilled out track with pleasurable vocals once again. It is the perfect fit for the title track. “The Moon Is Falling Down” and “The Home We Made Pt. II” are up for free download, but you can grab the entire album over on iTunes.
