After nonchalantly announcing the project just last month, super-producer Alchemist and Odd Future's Domo Genesis have released their joint mixtape No Idols. Shortly after announcing the project via Twitter in July, Domo admitted that he came into his own as an artist while working on No Idols. The artistic growth is evident as the rapper's subject matter transcends the pedestrian weed raps that came to define his debut release Rolling Papers.
Produced entirely by Alchemist, the eleven track mixtape features guest features from Action Bronson, Smoke DZA, Freddie Gibbs, Prodigy (of Mobb Deep), Vince Staples and Odd Future members Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt. With a helping hand from Alchemist behind the boards and a cast of capable emcees, Domo Genesis proves he has more to offer to the rap game than gimmicky, run of the mill weed raps.
