With a fresh EP out and his long-awaited debut LP on the way, House Shoes the ambassador of all things Detroit hip-hop is positioning himself to have one hell of a summer. The renowned DJ/producer and close associate of the late J Dilla granted cameras access to his home studio and gave some extended face time for the film crew for Behind Closed Doors Volume 3.
In the clip House Shoes speaks at length about learning his craft under the tutelage of Dilla, his reason for migrating out West to Los Angeles and surprisingly the underwhelming support Detroit artists receive from their hometown.
