Knocking their amps up to eleven, Tango In The Attic return with “Mona Lisa Overdrive,” the second single to be lifted from their forthcoming second album, “Sellotape.” Building on the successful formula of their debut record, there’s a marked progression in the Scottish four-piece’s songwriting as they craft a more direct garage rock sound. There’s still flecks of afrobeat guitar, but they now arrive drenched in a whirlwind of energy and waves of reverb. A hazy, lo-fi masterpiece, “Mona Lisa Overdrive” is a stunning showcase of Tango In The Attic’s new identity and has really whet our appetite for their forthcoming long player.
