One of my favorite interview questions for bands is "What was the craziest thing that happened on tour?". Usually, the response is a wild story about how one member almost died or some magical event that changed their lives. There is no doubt that every fan is curious to hear these stories and a man named Morgan decided to do something about it. Morgan is the man behind a printed music magazine Tepsic. The idea of Tepsic is basically bands taking pictures of their tour life with a disposable camera and Morgan printing these pictures in a 11×7" magazine. The entire concept is pretty brilliant.
For their latest issue, Tepsic targeted our beloved Brooklyn hip hop trio Das Racist. Not only did Das Racist provide pictures but Kool A.D mixed an exclusive tape for Tepsic. This mix contains two hours of our favorite urban anthems. Some tracks include Too Short "Money in the Ghetto", King Krule'"Bleak Bake", Nicki Minaj "Stupid Hoe", E-40 "Carlos Rossi", French Montana" Shot Caller", Zomby "Ladybrinth", Prince "Ballad of Dorothy Parker" and Danny Brown "Save My People". Stream the mixtape below and download the entirety at Tepsic's main site.
