With all the genres floating around the blogosphere, it's tough not to pigeonhole your band in the trendiest one (I'm thinking witch house at the moment), but some bands seamlessly blend genres and end up just making good music. That's my favorite genre.
I Come to Shanghai is my latest favorite find, mixing elements of experimental electronica, straight up hard rock, and Crystal Castles-ish synths, this is a band to keep watching. They just released Eternal Life Vol. 2 yesterday, trust me, it's worth the eight dollars, and you can pick it up directly from the artist on Bandcamp.
(P.S. Check the vid for track two Tied Down, brings me back to VHS days, some trippy stuff.)
