Though it's mostly depressing that the end of summer is approaching, with the fall and September comes the light of new tours, musical collaborations and experimentation. While it's still warm out, DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist will join forces to embark on their Renegades of Rhythm tour, setting themselves apart from the constant tour announcement in the age of electronic music and DJ performances. Taking it back to the inspiration where their careers, and many invigorated by the life of vinyl recording and performance, the tour is devoted to "Master of Records," Afrika Bambaataa's work that can be seen as a catalyst for many fans' interest in music and artists' careers today. And yes, it's totally vinyl-focused.

Just as DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, two pioneers in hip hop and instrumental electronica themeselves, are inspired by Afrika Bambaataa's work, so are we all. We have two tickets to give away to their September 4th/5th shows at Irving Plaza in NYC, and want to hear from you: what song or album has inspired you the most?
