If you’re an artist or someone creative, there’s something uncannily raw and valuable about watching artists come together to talk through their paths and the journeys that brought them here.
This year, Coachella’s Artist on Artist series returned to spotlight conversations between artists from the 2026 lineup, with the final episode dropping today. If it does not inspire you to get out there, be authentically yourself, and make art, I am not sure what will.
The series includes a one-on-one with Armin van Buuren and Adam Beyer; a heartfelt and necessary dialogue between Sara Landry, LP Giobbi, TOKiMONSTA, and Mary Droppinz; an introspective exchange between David Byrne and FKA twigs; and a final episode featuring SLAYYYTER and PinkPantheress.
What stands out is how each conversation pairs artists who may align in genre but differ in work ethic, perspective, and their individual paths, shaped by timing and determination. Beyond performance, the real draw is hearing how they reflect on their work now and the challenges they had to overcome to feel grounded in it.
Each episode strips away clout, ego, and credentials in favor of direct, honest exchange. There is something powerful about artists not being interviewed by journalists, but instead sitting down with each other and simply talking.
It is also what makes the series so resonant. Whether it is the discussion around navigating a male-dominated industry and creating space for women in music with Sara Landry, LP Giobbi, TOKiMONSTA, and Mary Droppinz, or the conversation around stage fright and learning through TikTok tutorials in SLAYYYTER and PinkPantheress’ sit-down, each episode offers a different entry point. The takeaway will not be the same for everyone, and that is the point. Like art itself, these conversations are meant to be interpreted differently.
There is a shared humility across the series that reinforces a simple idea. No one is above anyone else, and everyone is still trying to find their path while making art as authentically as possible.
