Lil Wayne, the infamous Louisiana rapper, has been placed in a medically induced coma after his bodyguards found him unconscious in his room on Wednesday, according to TMZ. Earlier the previous day, he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. after suffering multiple seizures, though he stabilized quickly.
After being released Wednesday, the rapper must have indulged in yet another cough syrup binge, as high amounts of codeine were found in his system upon readmission to the hospital. His stomach was pumped three times.
Our thoughts go out to his family and friends, who are at his bedside hoping for the best.
UPDATE: According to Mack Maine's twitter, Wayne is conscious and doing well. Here's to hoping he stays that way.
