"New Slaves" was a song that received much praise when it was released as the first single from Kanye West's breakthrough album Yeezus. Benjamin Bronfman, co-producer of "New Slaves," has uploaded the instrumental demo version of the track. When Bronfman heard West was looking for beats, he sent him nine instrumentals. One of those beats Bronfman called "Cruel Cold Winter," which would eventually become "New Slaves."
“The only part he took was the beginning part—he made it even more minimalistic” says Bronfman. Mr. West found all of Bronfman's instrumentals exceptional and called them "next level." Bronfman is hoping some of his most recent creations will be used on West's upcoming album, which is on tap to be released before the end of the year.
