Red-hot artist discovery platform Early Rising is known for putting people on to their next favorite artist through their blog and playlist, but now looks to break into the live event space through a groundbreaking partnership with legendary Venice Beach, CA live music venue Winston House called 'Early Stages'. First collaborating on a private artist showcase back in October featuring Fana Hues, Dora Jar, and Forrest Nolan, the platform will look to build a recurring public event lineup of 3 early bets every couple of months, kicking off with a showcase March 30 featuring vibrant up-and-comers Araya, Marinelli, and Niko Rubio.
Early Rising founder Sam Morrison had to say of the exciting partnership, "Oliver, my creative partner, and myself have been dreaming about live shows for a while, and to be able to do them with a legendary venue like Winston House is nothing short of a blessing. Corey McGuire (founder of Winston House) is truly an idol of mine in so many aspects. His immense humility, unwavering selflessness and genuine care for people truly make him the best at what he does. On top of that, our mission and ethos both align perfectly, which is why we expect Early Stages to be the premiere place for artists to showcase their talent and music lovers to discover their newest obsessions; all while being surrounded by the great people Winston House naturally attracts." It's interesting to see when a digital platform is able to transcend being just a digital platform, and through savvy partnerships, it looks as though Early Rising is set to become a brand that exists outside of your computer screen.
It's an exciting time to be an up-and-comer in the music industry because there are so many great platforms that are ravenously consuming new music. With curating and playlisting more important than ever, it's important to shift the focus back on what makes us all music fans; the ability to see our favorite artists live and in person. This is exactly what Early Rising has curated and is sure to expand even more in the future. While some may say the blog era is dead, innovators like Morrison and Early Rising are seeking to change that narrative.
