Apple Music is flexing its muscles in its look back on 2018. The result is the work of its curators and hosts Anna Lunoe and Jax Jones, as they have enlisted friends and contemporaries to put together some truly impressive mixes to close out the year. With 24 total mixes being broadcasted – and available to stream – they've invited artists like deep house duo Blond:ish, breakout techno star Charlotte de Witte, pop star Martin Garrix, curation from London's stalwart Ministry of Sound brand, and even a special drum and bass mix from the king Carl Cox himself. While Spotify still reigns as the undoubted master of playlisting in the streaming platform space, Apple Music has made clear its abilities to curate an impressive offering in a format that is memorable and not fleeting. Each mix celebrates tunes from 2018, but also celebrates the beauty of any good mix by including older music and surprises along the way. You can get the full offering here, but in the meantime enjoy some of our favorites below.
