Following a busy 2024, championing the likes of Callum Beattie, Rhianne Downey, Kyle Falconer and BEMZ, online media channel Riverside Music TV returns to champion their latest band in session – three-piece alt-pop outfit Pistol Daisys.
The Glasgow trio perform two tracks for RMTV showcasing their blend of vibrant sonics and defiant songwriting. Influenced by the likes of Stevie Nicks, the trio also dive into their colourful creative process and the history of the band so far as they sit down for an exclusive interview, and hint at exciting forthcoming plans.
Led by groovy beats, lush melodies and story-driven lyrics, the band chat about their evolution, saying, “When it was just the two of us, our songs were more singer-songwriter-like – akin to a sort of Americana blended with folk-rock. Once the three of us started getting together and making music, we just found this raspy pop edge, much like a Blondie-enthused Dolly Parton that gave us this unique sound and approach.”
Having debuted in 2023, Pistol Daisys have emerged as one of the most exciting bands from Scotland's underground scene. Sharing stages with the likes of fellow Scot Callum Beatie, and making festival appearances in front of 15k people, the group have gained a reputation for their energetic, dynamic live show as they look forward to year filled with new music as well as forthcoming dates with legendary outfit Big Country.
