Since last summer's incredible London festivals, it's been a long, cold and typically British winter. With months of lineups being teased as we approach the festival season once again – EARMILK favourites Eastern Electrics have today announced their first wave of acts joining the stage hosts.
From its birth as a warehouse rave, Eastern Electrics has grown each year for the last ten. After last years success, EE is back at Morden Park in London on Saturday 4th & 5th August – their first two-day festival. The Saturday sees stages hosted by EE, Eats Everything's Edible, Skreamizm, Defected, Ministry of Sound and Tropical Tea Party. Sunday serves up the biggest names in bass, reggae, D&B, and garage – we're in for a big weekend at the leafy south London park.
Amongst the first names to drop for Saturday are Hot Creations label boss Jamie Jones, Alan Fitzpatrick, Nastia and tech house champion Patrick Topping. With a diverse display of artists crossing the genres, you'll also catch the likes of Skream providing an extended set, the new face of UK techno Billy Turner, Defected favourite Sam Divine, Sonny Fodera and a live set from Matador. D Double E and P Money can be found on the TQD stage, with Nathan Barato and Mark Jenkyns over at Ministry of Sound. If that couldn't get any better, there's even a Special Headliner TBA.
For the first time ever, EE are providing the ravers with two days of dance music. The first headliner to drop for the Sunday bill is Sir David Rodigan MBE, who holds FORTY YEARS of party experience under his belt. The Sunday will see label of D&B pioneers, Reggae Roast and icon Matt Jam Lamont – who presents 'A History of Garage and Bass'. London locals South London Soul Train and So Fresh So Clean will be bringing a whole load of disco, funk, hip-hop and R&B into the EE mixer.
