This weekend will bring a lot of feminist action. The second annual Women's March will take place in cities around the world on Saturday, and this Sunday, the charitable winds will settle on El Cid, a venue in LA's Echo Park, for TogetherWe Rise Up Against Sexual Assault & Harassment By Celebrating the Devine Femnine. The event will money for The Joyful Heart Foundation, a cause headed up by Mariska Hargitay that aids in helping victims of sexual assault, domestic and child abuse reclaim their lives in stride.
The event will feature live music, speakers, DJ performances, and dancing across a multicultural point of view. Artists will include the musical stylings of multidimensional artist Niara Hart, soundscapes from Soul Catalyst alongside River Magic and Jewelia Britton, and DJ sets from The Athena Collective's Vicious Eve and Marie Nyx, as well as an appearance from the local Wine & Cheese Party's resident Abi Getto.
