Baka, also known as Baka Not Nice, has long been a friend of Drake. In earlier days, he was a part of his crew, functioning as part of his security detail. In more recent times though, Baka committed to work diligently on music as a producer and rapper after serving an eleven month prison sentence in relation to human trafficking and assault charges and has now officially signed to OVO Sound.
For those who are unfamiliar, Baka has been a part of the collaborative process on songs including "Hype," "Glychester," and "Free Smoke," and has slowly (and steadily) built momentum on his own material for "AKA" and "Live Up To My Name" – the latter of which has surpassed half a million streams on SoundCloud since its May release. "Live Up To My Name" will be on his debut project 4Milli.
