MOGA festival is primed to kick off it's inaugural electronic music festival from October 14th thru the 16th. The event takes place all the way down in Essaouira, Morocco which features a mesmerizing African Sahara desert as its backdrop. This unique landscape has already brought in some fame when the location was previously used as the backdrop for the HBO series Game of Thrones as the home of the Unsullied, Astapor. The event is slated to have multiple stages, spanning the vast landscape of Essaouira which some stages being right on the beach while others are one camel ride away, in the desert. There will also be venues across the city that will be taken over by MOGA. You would be hard pressed to find a more unique experience than what MOGA has put together.
Through its eclectic program and inclusive approach, MOGA aims to create linkages between different musical scenes, cultures and generations. MOGA is a platform that fosters constructive exchange between those involved in the African electronic music scene and their counterparts from around the world.
The lineup features some familiar EARMILK faces such as Lee Burridge, Chaim, Kode9, Lefto, M.A.N.D.Y., Âme, DJ Tennis and more! Also MOGA has made sure to include plenty of local African DJs/Producers who are sure to wow the crowds with their blend of electronic and world music.
