Chance has this way of creating songs that are gospel-sing-a-longs. No matter what religion you are, it's easy to suddenly find yourself on your knees praying to the lords above. You don't even need to google the closest gospel community church around you because his music just brings your body there. You are lifted by the Divine, by a magnetic force and find yourself saying prayers that you didn't even know the words too, BUT NOW YOU DO. Cause CHANCE did it to you. I mean, let's discuss the group of people he brought together on this stage.
First off, Chance in his holy being. Then you have Raury, the young 20 year old from the ATL that is known for mixing hip-hop, soul and a lil bit of folk. Then we have the OG of all souls, Anthony Hamilton. Who is somewhere in his 30's but it doesn't even matter because the wisdom that projects through his tone is the voice of God. We just know that. He's like the Morgan Freeman of R&B and Soul. The voice of reason, if you will. Complementing his rich vocals is the delicate falsetto from DRAM and harmonic halos from Ty Dolla $ign.
The Chi-town modest rapper is equal parts political, soulful and playful. He's really really revolutionizing our generation with his message, his collaborations, his unique voice & his message (again) (cause it's that important for our youth).
