Odetari has shared a new album, titled XIII SORROWS. At 23 years old, Odetari, hailing from Houston, Texas, is an unstoppable force in the music scene, captivating Gen Z listeners with his groundbreaking and genre-defying creations. With his infectious fusion of rap, drum & bass, club beats, and dance, Odetari takes his audience on an exhilarating sonic journey that embodies the spirit of the new generation. Drawing inspiration from iconic video games like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, he fearlessly pushes boundaries, crafting what can only be described as "Final Boss Music"- a dynamic and electrifying sound that showcases his ability to blend nostalgia and imagination. His latest offering XIII SORROWS is a release bristling with off-the-wall energy, with psychedelic mixtures of influences from electronic, alt-pop, and more present in a cohesive blend.

XIII SORROWS is an invigorating project that keeps the listener on their toes with its diverse sound palette and undercurrent of intensity. Raw, hyperactive synth layers give XIII SORROWS much character, as made evident with the eccentric bounce of "GMFU", with 6arelyhuman. Elsewhere, Odetari injects influences from jersey club on the vibrant "GOOD LOYAL THOUGHTS"- while the distorted soundscapes of songs like "NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER" add a healthy touch of dark surrealism. It makes for a head-trip of a listen that manages to incorporate a disparity of genres and sub-genres with a natural ease.

Despite growing up in Houston, the birthplace of chopped 'n' screwed music, Odetari tracks feel more like MDMA than lean, combining irresistible hooks with beats that fuse rap with DnB, Jersey club and dance. Add in aesthetic inspiration from iconic video games such as Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy and you get the phenomenon of "ODECORE," less a genre and more of a feeling and lifestyle. His latest offering XIII SORROWS is an exhilarating, engaging project apt for fighting demons, sprinting around a track or pushing the limits in the weight room.
