JUNO Award-winning Canadian R&B singer Dominique Fils-Aimé is currently working on her latest album Our Roots Run Deep, which will be released via Ensoul Records. In the interim, she delivers the visuals for her single "My Mind At Ease". The track is a heartfelt and unapologetic track that explores self-care and the process of healing after a period of pain. Over the solemn and sombre backdrop made up of soothing pads and scenic percussions, she delivers a stunning vocal performance bolstered by layered harmonies and choral melodic runs that run parallel to each other.
The track is accompanied by a stunning music video shot at Olympic Stadium, Montreal and directed by Adrian Villagomez, and choreographed Mel Charlot, renowned for her work with Grammy Award Winner, Lizzo. The visual makes use of several motifs and cut scenes that detail Dominique's journey from pain and her indomitable feminine strength. The choreography is quite intriguing and the use of dark set pieces also accentuates the theme of the song.
