Taydem Shoesmith is on the rise with her latest single "Are You Clapping?" which doesn't miss a beat. With a love for music since a young age, Taydem has been exploring songwriting for as long as she can recall.
Diving into the electro-pop realm for her new single, "Are You Clapping?" showcases her work as not only a musician but a songwriter as well. The track seemingly comes from a very personal place; one she hopes will connect with listeners. The track was written out of anger, and has a vibrance and undeniable strength to it. With a range from singer-songwriter vibes to pop and alternative tendencies, her music is a unique combination of various genres and influences both new and old ranging from Michael Jackson, Rascal Flatts, Billie Holiday, Sabrina Carpenter, and Camila Cabello to name a few.
Alongside her music, Taydem has also dipped her toes into the field of acting, making her debut in 2020. She was cast for a role in the short film “In the Dark,” and has since then been cast as the lead in multiple films, and has created music for films; one of those being a theme song for a short series, “Blood Sisters.”
