The duality of Sunny Cowell shares new single “Here With Me” and announces new project ‘Anthology Of Love’

Sunny Cowell is a Baltimore-raised, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist who started out at the age of five, when she wrote her first song. A polymath of sorts, she is an attorney, as well as a professor of electronic media and film law, and regulation lastly, she teaches IP Law at Towson University. Her debut EP Insecure was released a while back and now she follows it up with her debut project Anthology of Love. The 10-track body of work showcases Sunny's wide range of influences and skillset as a singer and producer in her own right.

The project starts with "Here with me", a smooth, soulful love ballad that sets the tone for the project. It starts off with an acoustic live version of Sunny singing before transitioning into the record. The track is a testament to true love and how it completes the individuals in it. This is followed by "They Can Say" and "Too Good To Be True". The former is a guitar-laden record that harks back to the mid-2000s with its sparse and reflective arrangement, and the latter is a downtempo trap-infused R&B cut ripe with lush piano riffs and solemn textures. Both records do show different sides to Sunny as she weaves relatable tales of love lost, as well as being over heartbreak and moving on to better things. The first feature, courtesy of rapper Ernest Third, appears on "One Night Stand", a relatable tale of an affair that Sunny wishes would develop into something greater. In "Never Been Better", Sunny pours her heart out and cleans her closet after a breakup and picks up the pieces with a renewed strength and focused spirit. The energy switches up as Sunny employs a Baltimore Club beat in the song "Nothing Else" featuring TT The Artist and Mighty Mark and the closer "Get Up" continues with the upbeat energy of the previous tune and sees Sunny in her element as she implores listeners to get out the doldrums, feel the vibe and dance away their sorrows.

For those that may not be in the know, Sunny Cowell is the daughter of groundbreaking, larger-than-life Jazz pianist Stanley Cowell (sampled by Kendrick and many more).
