South Florida raised singer/songwriter Marlounsly (pronounced Mar-loon-slee) did more than catch our ears on her latest single "Senseless." The record is an unapologetic, sexy song that sees her displaying her sensuality at the highest level over the classic Mtume drum break. The production by N Soul is definitely inspired by the 90s while some of Marlounsly's explicit lyrics are reminiscent of early Nate Dogg during the Deathrow era.
Taking elements from the old and the new, she delivers quite an impassioned and energetic performance. Her approach is part sexy and part fun with a slight focus on the former. Marlounsly sure is having fun with the cheeky lyrics that culminate on the hook section with "when you get home, boy I wanna fuck you senseless" but for the most part, it's about displaying her sensuality with her true love.
The Haiti born singer has one EP True Colors and an album Naturally Bad under her belt, preceding the release of "Senseless."
