After his march release Vertigo via Incorrect Music, exciting Italian producer and DJ Simone Liberali continues in fine form by offering a grooving two-track EP, Landslide.
The title track "Landslide" is a bumping house cut laced with rattlesnake shaker, thumping bass and tropical vibes. With the infectious voice of seasoned house vocalist Jinadu atop of a twinkling melody, it rides hypnotizing loops through sparkling dancing powder, giving us seven minutes of total party pleasure. "Landslide is a record that means so much to me! I just built a new studio and this is the first of many to come out of it!” Liberali explains. “I made the instrumental and felt it was a special record that needed a vocal, I loved Jinadu’s previous work so hit him up on Facebook, he loved it and sent me back the Landslide acapella a week later and it just blew me away, I was so excited I finished the record the next day!"
On the other hand, "Discordia" is a funk-filled production that drapes a catchy b-boy sample over the top of a funky, spacious groove. Liberali is taking a more refined, conservative approach here, yet his production versatility is still fully demonstrated. The track is filled with danceable riffs and hints of drum rolls that take listeners back to the peak of the funk era.
