Paul Kalkbrenner ventures into new territory on "No Goodbye"

Electronic veteran Paul Kalkbrenner has released his first original music since dropping his eighth album, Parts of Life, in 2018. Entitled "No Goodbye," it's an intriguing new foray for the Berlin artist as a new take on where the underground and the burgeoning popularity of vocal, melodic progressive connect.

For many artists, a move like this would be an untrustworthy surprise. But for Kalkbrenner, it's a well-calculated move that translates through to his music. Already a well-rounded figure as a DJ, author, producer and performer, his brand has been built on testing new sounds. On "No Goodbye," he has mastered a display of emotion that is compelling in its simplicity. Like in our own bodies, the simple is never truly one-note.
