Singer/producer Lee Ackred's newest record "Agua" caught our ears with its raw honesty and her powerful vocal performance. The self-produced/engineered record showcases her hands-on approach and organic style of making music. She opts for an acoustic guitar, laid back drum groove and stunning vocals for this record that dwells on personal growth. Using her own experiences from a strenuous 3-year relationship which she had to end, Ackred comes to the realization that every relationship (whether romantic or not) had to contain the elements of love and reciprocation regardless of the not so pretty parts. As an individual striving to push the envelope and break away from the norm, "Agua" sets the tone for Ackred's message of self-empowerment and the belief that we should all endeavor to be the best versions of ourselves in any form of relationship we find ourselves.
