Boys Noize just released MAYDAY REMIXES EP part 1— a collection of 7 tracks that were originally featured on his MAYDAY album released in 2016 but have been revamped. Two of these remixes were teased in the MAYDAY year-end recap video which has garnered a lot of excited for the remix EPs. From the moment you hit play on the first track, “Overthrow (303 Overdub)," the theme of the EP is clear: fewer lyrics, longer beats, and hard-hitting techno true to Ridha’s Berlin roots. Even the softest song of the album, "Starchild" Reprise is given a surprising crashing bassline towards the end of the song. On this first installment of the EP, MXM and Rockwell both contribute remixes, and for the next installment of the EP which is out in two weeks on March 17 edits from Tensnakes, Gila, Amato, and Raito will be featured.
