Twondon drops "SHINE"' for the first days of summer

Twondon has dropped the most perfect of summer solstice jams. The artist is rooted in New Jersey, but sounds like he could be bi-coastal.  The cuts beat was made by a producer from Spain, Katsuro. He blesses the beat with that east coast feel by sampling Biggie's infamous track, "Get Money". But Twondon's laid back flow makes you feel like he may just be cruisin in Cali in this summertime "Shine".

Twondon's sound just embodies that summer high. You can picture yourself driving down the Pacific Coast Highway, going relatively slow in the beginning, because you're lit AF and you enjoying the m***af***ing scenery. But then the rhythm of his bars hits so meticulously on point, that the precision makes you want to mob.

So many rap artist in the game really push the envelope with their sound. Often having unique voices & speeds with their cadence and usually over a electronic beat. And I ain't mad at it! But I think it's partly because the OGs did it so well, so how are they supposed to emulate their sound, or do it better? Twondon's sound is one of the first artists I've heard in a minute where you can tell me this came off an album in the 90's, and I'd be like word. Like, "Dre produced this beat" and I'd be like "True". It doesn't help that Twondon has an uncanny physical resemblance to Nas. Plus you can tell he was influenced heavily by these OG's as he calls out Pac, Biggie & Nas in many of his cuts. I would compare his flow to a 'not lazy Dom Kennedy'. Not that I don't absolutely fucking love Dom, but just Dom, if he didn't smoke so much tree and maybe chose to fuck with an upper for a track. Or a more calculated cadence, if you will.

Play this track in the whip with the windows down. This isn't an AC track. Top will be back if you have a convertable. You need that fresh air! Let the rhythm blow through your hair. Wave your hands in the air like you just don't care.
