Sidney Charles drops ‘Impermanence’ EP

When the total of your productions and mixes on your Soundcloud profile add up to just shy of one hundred, you're either uploading absolute trash or you have a inherent gift for producing music. For Berlin based Sidney Charles it is most certainly the latter as he delivers yet another hugely accomplished release in the form of Impermanence, an adrenaline fueled after hours EP crammed full of undeniable groove.

Title track "Impermanence" is the standout record of the EP. Pounding kick drums gallop you towards the chunky retro synth keys which catch you completely off guard. After all, it's not often you hear what could well be described as funk infused Techno. The pulse of the EP refuses to falter as "Skipper" takes the reigns and careers the listener into a dark relentless bass line that's sure to do damage to dance floors worldwide. "A Billion Miles" then takes you to slightly warmer climes with hard tribal percussion, echoing vocals and an infectious hook . Finally, "True Lies" is a relatively bouncy affair that takes the tempo down a notch or two, allowing you time to wring out your clothes and grab a tall cold tap water.
