Whether it's the whole truth or just my subjective nostalgia, living through the 90's was a trip. If you're like me and grew up in the era of Super Soakers and Death Row Records, (and no, if you were born in 97' you don't qualify) you probably remember all of the strange stuff that went down. Hip hop was at its prime (the run from 93' to 96' can't be beat) and everyone had Tommy Hill to the socks, but those millennials eventually grew up and experienced a new way of life.
"90z Baby," the latest from the always nice The Black Opera, reflects on the disconnection between the mid twenties adults who want to get turnt and have their brows on fleek and how the rest of the world views them. With an all star line up including Ro Spit, Scolla, Jamall Bufford and Magestik Legend, the joint bangs, plain and simple. Tall Black Guy's production, as always, is spectacular, and the end product is something that would fit well at a cookout or a late night house party.
