Swedish duo Sameblod are on the rise with their throwback interpretation of synth-pop that pulls in a wide range of influence in creating their own sound. Frederick Rundqvist and Mikael Mattisson (Sameblod) have been together since 2011 and through their run they have caught a great deal of attention with both their original music and also their recent cover of Yeasayer's "One". With maybe their most accessible song to date, we bring you "My Fortune".
Quickly setting its light tone, "My Fortune" hits home with its simplistic structure that Sameblod refer to as "hopeful-electronic-mellow-pop". Placing vocals underneath layers of synth, "My Fortune" grows into a dense, washed-out track that, much like its central melody, will run circles through your head.
