Parisian producer Veens unleashes a whirlwind of synth-blasts and cow-bell percussion fun on his latest track “You”. With hints of cartoonish warps and vigorous cascade of chimes, “You” is a wondrous tune full of unadulterated happiness, rescinding ocean waves, and dissipating memories of a female counterpart. Veens smoothly operates through pounding bass. He mixes together high-frequency vocals loops with calming lulls into tropical air to create a cyborg of sensual sound. Blurring the line between what we sonically recognize as man and machine in tracks like “Irezumi” and “City Lights”, Veens could low key make himself the next addition to the FoFoFadi food chain.
