Icelandic-born, London-raised and Copenhagen-based newcomer DíSA expresses her diverse background through her music. Blending dark pop with a mix of bold yet relaxed electronic soundscapes, Disa Jakobs has released four songs to date, paving the way of what to expect on the release of her debut EP Sculpture coming March 23rd. Today we are not only premiering a new song, but also running a Valentine's Day competition to tie into DíSA's "Marry You".
Although "Marry You" is based around the troubles of unrequited love and the heart-breaking grief that follows, the bitter premise is balanced by the warm and uplifting melody. This positive instrumental direction is a slight departure from DíSA's other songs, however "Marry You" carries the mystical and airy experimental-pop that sets her apart from the scene.
