A couple months back we posted a remix of The Chainsmokers’ track “Kanye” from Buffalo, NY wunderkind Almond. In the rework he showed how effortlessly and beautifully he can take a track and make it all his own. Following that remix Almond has proven once again his ability to seamlessly blend melodic vocals with shimmering synth likes more alluring than the rolling tides of the sea. His latest rework is of Oh Wonder’s single “The Rain” and is a beautiful conglomerate of light electro and minimal progressive house. Almond teamed up with Myles Travitz to create a track the soars like balloons disintegrating into the clouds, ascending with ease towards to atmosphere before propelling towards the earth like refreshing drops of rain. Regardless of the weather this track will make you wet so cop a free download and make sure to bring your umbrella.
