Fresh off releasing new single "Loveblood", Reading-based four-piece Sundara Karma have already jumped into unleashing their next offering: a new single that goes by the name of "The Night". Alongside "Loveblood", "The Night" hails from their debut EP entitled EPI, which is set to be released on February 23 via 203 Recordings.
Spanning only four tracks in length, EPI can safely be forecasted to be hugely anthemic, featuring the soaring synths and sun-soaked guitar that us listeners know so well. As stated in a press release, vocalist Oscar Lulu describes the forthcoming debut as a "collection of all the guises we have taken so far," where EPI is "mainly a coming of age record for kids."
Pop hooks and all, "The Night" fully encompasses this coming of age mentality in every melodic twist and trop-pop turn that it takes. If it wasn't evident before on tracks like "Indigo Puff" or "Cold Heaven", Sundara Karma continue to establish themselves as an infectious foursome who have mastered an unconventional approach to attention-grabbing hooks.
Catch them in the flesh on tour dates with The Wombats, Alvvays, and Darlia across the UK, as well as at their very own headline EP launch show at the Sebright Arms in London on March 10.
