Belgium-based house savants Arches are dance stars in the making, and they prove the point with a new exclusive mix for EARMILK. The mix comes on the heels of a massive year, which brought remixes of dance heavy hitters like the Magician and Kiesza, endorsements from big names like Annie Mac, and the indomitable "Want You." That song, which dropped in early October, became an instant, minimal-lyric hit in the vein of other 2014 deep house jams like Route 94's "My Love," Duke Dumont's "I Got U." Caribou's "Our Love," or SecondCity's "I Wanna Feel." The track hasn't made quite as big a splash (yet) as those others, but we're confident that, with more than 200,000 YouTube and SoundCloud streams and counting, "Want You" will make waves in 2015.
As if that weren't enough, Arches has provided us with a diverse and dynamic exclusive mix to turn up to as we approach the new year. The set begins with Alex Adair's remix of one of the best pop songs of the year: Jessie Ware and Ed Sheeran's "Say You Love Me." The mix takes a turn for the aggressive with a tune from Herve and a deep Zac Samuels remix of Karen Hardin's poppy "Say Something." The surprises keep coming, with an soon-to-be released Arches rework of George Maple's "Talk Talk," and Bronx Cheer's "123." The unadulterated dance vibes continue as "Want You" leads to thumping house beats from Shakima and Kraak & Smaak before Arches close things out with Jonas Rathman's remix of Sam Smith's newest single, "Like I Can."
Check it out yourself, but first strap on your seatbelt and prepare to be taken over by some big, deep vibes.
