On the back of two hot releases, Dubb is back to take us through his deep gang of creative talents with “Cartel”. We “can’t tell” that he’s “part of the Cartel” but we do know that this latest upbeat effort enjoys cool, expansive production from EP and first appeared on Boi-1da’s website as part of an exclusive freestyle series. The release of Dubb’s “Cartel” follows the poetic “Déjà Vu” and the anthemic “My Day”, as the Av8ers frontman proved he’s earning his stripes and affiliation with Blood Money, Game’s imprint. While he gears up for features on Year of the Wolf, the Athens Park emcee drops catchy tracks with relative ease; executing effortlessly fresh verses while EP samples Allen Toussaint's “Get Out Of My Life, Woman” as part of the brilliant soundscaping on this one.
This new wave of music from Dubb sees him at his most consistent since the January release of the Never Content tape, and with a new full length project in the works, we can expect to be hearing a lot more from this exciting lyricist. Get involved with Dubb's “Cartel” below.
