Montreal-based trap lord Lunice is back, the exciting news revealed by a new track, "Can't Wait To," on the soundcloud page for TNGHT, the duo he formed with Hudson Mohawke. It's still unclear whether there's a full release looming on the horizon, but the single is out now via LuckyMe.
"Can't Wait To" starts out a little like a rework of his classic track "I See U," before working in vocal samples and a creepy melody. The title of the track is ironic, because Lunice is clearly waiting patiently to unleash even more on the world. Unlike many of his tracks, "Can't Wait To" never really takes off, instead remaining complacent and suspenseful, almost like a teaser. Lunice's absence as a solo artist has been pretty lengthy, so I'd bet "Can't Wait To" is a preview of a much larger dose to come.
