Portugal-born artist ØTTA has announced her long-awaited debut album Pele De Mar, out this fall via her own label and global party brand Hotties. Alongside the announcement, she shares new single "Pulso.," one of the album's most euphoric moments.
Pele De Mar is a selection of borderless, club-ready expressions that fully displays ØTTA's evolution as an artist, producer, DJ, and musician over the last decade. The album centers around the cherished memories and experiences that shaped her, charting a course through her life that begins in Lisbon, where she was born, and extends through the sounds, places, and relationships that formed her identity both as a person and as an artist.
"Pulso." combines the various influences that shaped ØTTA over the years, from sensual house and Latin rhythms to the bass-heavy grooves she became fixated on while living in London. The track plays as a spike of joy that bundles sugar-sweet nostalgia with influences that feel organic and wholesome. The album also features "Rio," a love letter to Rio de Janeiro, the Paris-inspired introspection of "That Snack," the liberating intensity of London on "Frio," and collaborations with Bibi Babydoll, Lua De Santana, and Fiah Miau.
Before ØTTA broke through with her high-energy debut Plus One EP in 2020, music and art had been a constant thread throughout her life. She spent six years playing in an orchestra, later studying art and architecture, absorbing a language of symmetry, repetition, and structure that continues to define her approach. That instinct has carried through her breakout Boiler Room performance in Manchester and into Hotties, the label and event series she established to foster creativity within her community.
Pele De Mar is out this fall via Hotties. "Pulso." is available now.
