Green Lantern made one of the biggest hip-hop to dance music cross overs in 2014 and hasn't slowed down since. After starting off the year with a re-work of Tommy Trash's "F#$%WIND", the Rochester native released one of the biggest trap singles to date with "Know About Me". With several Ultra Music showcases in line at SXSW, 2014 is starting off nothing short of colossal for Green Latern.
Premiering last week on Thump was the Dj Green's first ever mixtape entitled Know About Me Vol 1. Green himself had a few words to say about the new project, “The title of the mix Know About Me is just really that. I want the “Know About Me” mix platform to keep fans up to speed of what I’m doing, what my musical tastes are and what’s to come next. This mix is dance-y, trance-ish at times, but still carries a hip-hop backbone to me. The mixes will be consistently coming out on a regular basis and will showcase my current DJ selections. I’m consistently on the road doing shows and look at this to give the people a taste of what to expect from me, as well as, a platform to preview my up and coming music.” Aside from some original works the mix features The likes of Childish Gambino, M.I.A., A-Trak, Paper Diamond, Keys ‘N Krates and more. It is always amazing hearing a Dj with a hip hop background put out a dance mix because they always just know how to get things turnt way up!
