The Road to Electric Forest: 2 Week Countdown

The time for the mystical wonderland they call Electric Forest is just around the corner. LED lights illuminate massive Oak trees as guests are enchanted on their journey down the musical rabbit hole. This year there are a ton of huge names on the bill, Pretty Lights, Yeasayer, Knife Party, Lotus, Danny Brown, GrizMatik, and many more will be in attendance.

While there are many massive names, I always love stumbling upon new artists and discovering fresh sounds. If you will be making your way up to the Sherwood Forest then you will most certainly want to check out the Atlanta group, Up Until Now. Jay Murphy displays his diverse musical talent by serving up an array of styles. Funk, rock, glitch, dub, hip-hop, and groove are all intertwined in his styling, while the mad man Kyle Holly tears it up on the drums, adding that extra oomph to their production. Up Until Now will be playing on the unique Forest Stage on Friday at 7pm, you certainly do not want to miss them. Take a listen to their glitch remix of “Petrify” and their entire repertoire over on soundcloud.

In other news – The festival recently released the 2013 Stage Schedule and just published this year's Electric Forest Festival Map, revealing an expanded Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Forest Stage, and the brand new Observatory stage. Also they recently announced  a limited number of "2-Day Sat & Sun" Tickets are available now at www.electricforestfestival.com.

Tickets on sale now at www.electricforestfestival.com and at 1-888- 512-SHOW (Open Mon-Sat 9am-9pm CST).
